Computers |
All Washington County Library System branches offer PCs with access to the Internet and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Wireless access is available at Percy Library in Greenville and the Leland Library. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation provided funding for public access computers in public libraries. The Gates Foundation provided the computers based on specific demographic criteria. The goal is to put computers closest to those people least likely to have access to a home or business computer. Each library branch in Washington County has Gates Computers with software for personal use. The Library also has an Internet Policy that governs all Library PCs. |
